LOOK WHO MADE THE FRONT PAGE!!! Zachary's Paws For Healing has done it again! The patients at the Regional Rehab Centre at the Hamilton General Hospital campus enjoyed an afternoon to pet, feed, brush and love four miniature horses. The amputee, stroke and acquired brain injury units and the staff came down to the grassy courtyard to enjoy the animals. None would be possible without Lynne Cree of Taking Strides Horse Therapy program and Brenda Elkins of Red Horse Sense Horse Therapy program and Il Capo (Anthony Longo) of T & T Equine Transport. These folks generously gave of their time and resources to give the patients a wonderful afternoon.
Below is a great article written by Carmela Fragomeni, writer for the Hamilton Spectator and some beautiful photos of some of the patients and the horses.
Remember, we only continue to provide our great work by receiving donations and fundraising. Please help support our service and be a part of bringing patients their pets and other animals.
