We are almost finished with all our planning, policy writing and we have acquired all the approvals for Zachary's Paws For Healing to get started. Juravinski Hosptial has been fabulous and made us so welcome.
We have an official start date of September 14, 2015. We are working on our Media Kit and getting our calendar of talk shows booked. Our Public Relations campaign will be exciting. You will see us on the news, national talk shows and in the newspapers and magazines.
Zachary's Paws For Healing has volunteers getting ready for their orientation and training. What a gift they will be giving the patients at Juravinski. The staff can't wait to see the patients with their companion pets during their visits. There is a real air of excitement all around.
Zachary's Paws For Healing will be offering Foster Care for patient's pets when they don't have any family or friends to take care of the pets while they are in the hospital.
So excited that we will be announcing our new Corporate Sponsor. If you are a breeder/groomer in Southern Ontario, you will know them. We will be finalizing our plans at a meeting soon.
I can feel Zachary's hand on my shoulder as we take this trip together. He is with me all the time. What a wonderful lasting legacy for this very special young man. It makes me so proud.
I have said it before and I will keep saying it, I am so blessed. To have the Juravinski team that are like family to embrace Zachary's Paws For Healing, for all the donations that have come in to help get us started and to all our friends that are volunteering.
Please consider being a volunteer. You can be a pet visitor volunteer, you can be a Foster Home Volunteer and you and volunteer to fundraise. If you are a member of a breed club, please bring our program to their attention and ask them to help support us with a money donation for food for the Foster pets.
Money is always important. We have printing expenses for patient information booklets, posters, fundraising brochures and other supplies.
Word of mouth is another way to promote Zachary's Paws For Healing. Tell your friends and family, perhaps they would like to support us, too.
I want to thank Samantha Green for taking on some of our Public Relations duties, by taking care of our Twitter and Instagram accounts and for building our website.
I want to give a huge thank you to Tam Pregent for donating several crates and expens to our Foster program and for donating a very nice crate to be used for the pet visits at the hospital.
Also, I want to thank Kirsten Ross-Pedersen that is making our dog and cat kerchiefs for the visiting pets and the crate cover with our logo on the sides.
I hope none of you ever have to be a patient at Juravinski Hospital, but if you are, you will be able to have your beloved pet visit you.
I am dancing! What a wonderful life I live! Thanks Everyone!
